Breaking Away Mountains

Image

We are raising up an army that will pray and break away mountains everyday.   It's not so much about teaching people "how to" pray, but rather teaching people "to pray."

Each time we pray we are making a spiritual transaction. We are making a legal demand on what is already ours and releasing it in the spiritual realm.

Prayer Changes Things
The disciples were impressed with the results that Jesus got while in prayer. Every time that something needed to be changed, Jesus went to prayer. The disciples realized that there were things in their life that needed change and obviously prayer changed things, so they came to Jesus and said “Lord, teach us to pray! Are there things in your life that need to be changed? Let’s join with the disciples and ask the Lord to “teach us to pray”!

What Is Prayer?
Many times the best way to find out what something is; is to find out what it is not!

Have you been taught “traditional prayers”? Have these traditional prayers ever changed anything? NO, the traditions of men make the Word of God (concerning prayer) to none effect!  Jesus begins to answer the disciples’ request of teach us to pray by saying:

Matt 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Prayer is not telling God about your problems in order to “get Him” to do something about it. He already knows your needs before you even come to Him in prayer.  Prayer is not trying to manipulate God to do something good for us. He has already given us 8,630 promises.  Prayer is simply saying AMEN to the promises that He has already given to us.

Prayer is not trying to get God to change His mind about anything. God is already for us so why change His mind? Find out what the mind of God is about a matter and claim the promise.

OK Then, What is Prayer?
Prayer is simply communication with God! Communication is not true communication if it is only one sided. Prayer is not a one way communication. Communication is not communication until both parties understand each other. If you can repeat back to a person what he has communicated to you and that person is satisfied that you understand what he said to you then true communication has occurred.

Breaking Away Mountains

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Prayer is communicating to God concerning an issue in your life, hearing what God has already promised about that area of your life and then communicating back to Him until He is satisfied that you really understand what He has promised. After true communication has occurred you can be confident that the promise is yours and you can now speak to the issue (mountain) and expect with confidence that heaven will work with you until that mountain is removed.
