 Focus For The Month:
Scripture Focus For The Month
This month I want to focus on: “Counting The Days To Pentecost!"   Exactly 50 days after Passover is the "Feast of Weeks" better known to the church as "Pentecost."

Even though we celebrate this one day as the day that God gave the law to Moses on the mount, and God gave the Holy Spirit to believers in the Upper Room, there are many amazing lessons we can learn if we count each day leading up to Pentecost.
 
As God brought the children of God through the wilderness toward the mount, He proved to them He was their deliverer, healer, and provider.  God gave them leadership, favor, purpose, provision, and a promised land.

On the day of Pentecost He gave them His Spirit with nine specific gifts.  The Gifts of the Spirit are given so you can have power to think, power to speak, and power to act.  Three gifts to think, three gifts to speak, and three gifts to act. God wants to bring you to a place of having power to be a witness for Him!
 Leviticus 23:15 'And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.
16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
 
Exodus 12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptans,
 
Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statues, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Eqyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
 
Exodus 16:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel:
 
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost poart of the earth. 
 
1 Cor 12:7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues;

 Prayer Focus:
  • Pray that you will count each day as an opportunity to trust God more in areas of healing, provision, and deliverance. 
  • Pray that you will learn to take each challenge as an opportunity to see how God wants us to become totally dependent upon Him.
  • Pray that you will go up into the upper room in prayer so that you too may receive His Spirit that gives you the Power to think, speak, and act. 
  • Pray that you will never forget that the purpose of the Law and the purpose of the Spirit is to give power to a people that will be a witness for God in the earth.
  • Pray that you will receive a manifestation of the Spirit, so that you may profit and be a blessing to the body of Christ.
  • Pray that you will not allow yourself or others to murmur, chide, bring accusation, or gossip about your leadership; knowing that the Lord hears you and takes it personal as if you were murmuring against Him thus showing where you are at in your relationship with Him!
